The Smart Rehab Story
Smart Rehab was launched in 2017 by Kevin and Theresa Finlay with a clear purpose: to meet a growing need in the community for in home therapy services for older adults, and to create a work environment that experienced therapists would truly value. We saw firsthand how the traditional clinic model often did not serve seniors well, and how therapists were stretched thin and disconnected from the people they were trying to help.
Theresa is a licensed physical therapist who has always felt called to serve older adults. Kevin holds a degree in occupational therapy and brings years of experience in healthcare leadership. Together, we built a model that places the client and the therapist at the center of care. This model is personal, focused, and delivered in the comfort of home.
What started as a small side project has grown into a full-time mission. Smart Rehab is locally owned, therapist run, and fully focused on helping older adults stay strong, independent, and safe at home.
We are certified Medicare providers and also offer private pay options. Whether it is improving balance and mobility, managing joint pain or chronic conditions, or simply maintaining independence, our therapists help clients continue doing what matters most, right where they live.

We started Smart Rehab because we saw two needs not being met—older adults struggling to get the care they deserved, and experienced therapists feeling burned out by fast-paced, high-volume settings. Our model puts both the patient and the therapist first. We bring therapy directly into the home, where care is more personal, outcomes are stronger, and relationships matter.
